Dear GCF Community,
Thank you to all who were able to participate in our Giving Tuesday campaign this year. We’re heartened by the dedication to help us grow our impact. As a nonprofit, support from passionate climate and social justice champions like yourself sustains our platform to empower even more Corps Members and Alumni. With the New Year quickly approaching, we’re striving to keep the momentum going and raise $50,000 by December 31st.
Your help is what uplifts opportunities for additional young BIPOC adults’ training and preparation for their green careers in our Service Corps through alumnihood as they continue to lead in their communities across the city with grit, passion, and expertise.
Alongside community members like you, our Corps Members and Alumni make our mission a continued reality:
“Being with GCF for the last 5 ½ years has tremendously impacted my life in ways I couldn’t have imagined! I’ve discovered numerous ways of what it means to serve young BIPOC folks and underserved communities and give them a platform to achieve anything they aspire to be, as my mentors have done for me as a Corps Member. Most importantly, I’ve learned more about myself which helped me find my passion in helping/inspiring others [which] I’m grateful to have as a career with GCF.” – Hakim Jeffrey, Senior Coordinator Program and Partnerships, Cohort 17 alum
“I’ve had an exciting year and a half at Green City Force. I discovered a lot about who I am. It’s at GCF that I found my voice…I chose to become a Corps Member because I wanted to be a part of something bigger than myself…I can [now] go into the green sector and do something that I love.” – Jade Diaz, Cohort 24 alum and Cohorts 25-26 Eco-Hub Fellow
With less than 2 weeks left until 2024 and 75% towards our goal, spread the GCF spirit by sharing these alumni stories or making a tax-deductible gift to help us reach $50,000. Donations of any level meaningful to you make a difference – and can go even farther with employer matching contributions, a recurring gift, and gifts in honor of someone special.
We can’t thank you enough for all the love this year.
In service and solidarity this holiday season,
