Peter Naranjo is the Sectoral Training Manager at Green City Force. He handles all training and certifications for current cohort members and all Green City Force alumni. He also facilitates training in collaboration with our partners.
Before taking part in GCF’s Edelman pilot program, his career mainly focused on operations in government and he previously worked as Lead Operations Supervisor in the 2020 census. He takes great pride in the strength of collaborative effort. It is something that he learned while as a Corps Member in GCF and utilized it during the Covid-19 pandemic. Under guidelines that he implemented not only did Manhattan complete their census count two months early at the request of the president, it was done accurately and safely.
Taking what he had learned from his time as a Corps Member, he maintained a relationship with GCF as an occasional temporary employee. While continuing to hone his skills and also taking what he learned during his time with Edelman, he developed a passion and interest for DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) work. He views his work as GCF’s Sectoral Training Manager as a full circle moment to give back the knowledge that he gained back then.
He is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Politics and Government at Fordham University. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family who are proud gamers of all genres.
