Miguel Rodriguez has been an alumnus since 2014. He completed 1,200+ hours to receive our “Most Service Hours” and “Service” Awards for leadership and commitment to outstanding community service. Through GRID Alternatives’ pilot program, he instructed volunteers on solar photovoltaics installation for low-income residents displaced by Hurricane Sandy. He assisted at  Added Value/GCF Farms in Red Hook with production of compost and refined soil. Before graduation, Miguel landed a job with OnForce Solar earning the nickname “Captain Solar.” He worked on dozens of commercial/residential projects surmounting 4 Megawatts of renewable energy. Miguel went back to school at CUNY’s City Tech, studying Construction Management Technology (A.A.S). He earned nomination to join ΣΑΦ’s National Society of Leadership and Success and made the Dean’s Honor List for academic achievement. In 2017, he joined our Social Enterprise team, and moved up the ranks to become our Quality Assurance Coordinator.
