Maria Korolkova serves as a Service Coordinator at Green City Force. Prior to joining GCF, Maria worked as a Trails Crew Leader with Conservation Corps New Mexico where she supervised AmeriCorps crews in national parks and forests across southern New Mexico conducting trail construction and maintenance. Her passion for protecting and improving access to natural areas within her hometown has led her to partake in trail maintenance and ecological restoration efforts with NYC Parks and Natural Areas Conservancy. Her enthusiasm for environmental education and sustainability stems from her internship experience and volunteering with NY Sun Works, Gowanus Canal Conservancy, and Red Hook Compost Site. Maria holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and a minor in Japanese from CUNY Lehman College. As a former ACE AmeriCorps member, the principles of service and community are instilled in her, and she is eagerly looking forward to supporting Corps members while upholding GCF’s values.
