Jen Tirado, born and raised in the Bronx, joined Green City Force in 2013 and was promoted four times. As Chief Service Officer, she leads GCF’s award-winning Service Corps. She designs innovative programming including Farms at NYCHA, through which NYCHA young adults gain leadership experience and skills on a path to careers. Prior experience includes research in Iowa and Puerto Rico, managing farmer’s markets in the Bronx, and studying permaculture design at Maharishi University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Living. Jen earned a certificate in Public and International Affairs from Baruch College through the NY Community Trust Fellowship program, was named in NYC Food Policy Center’s 40 under 40, earned an Executive Certificate in Corporate Social Responsibility from Rutgers Business School, and is founder of Impact Jedi where she creates and promotes social innovation and sustainability programs in unconventional spaces for public and private entities.
